Hi there, I’m Francesca
Project manager. Parent. Expat currently based in Rome, Italy.
Some years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn’t in the long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.
The first months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Polre Nakyv Dax
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when changes truly occur
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Italy goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Francesca
